艺术珠宝作品集

My inspiration comes from the dragonfly toy from Cambodia. Fighting with poverty at a very young age, the Cambodian children remain optimistic, and they seek for joys in the magical dragonfly toys, which can keep the balance on the fingertips.

Cambodia boasts a rich species of dragonfly, especially red dragonfly, so I use mainly red in my design. Also I tried to paly with the balance idea as the dragonfly toy. I manipulate gemstones to create the balance and visual illusion, at the same time demonstrating the essence of lightness, simplicity and playfulness.

The thress pieces in the collection can be displayed toghther as a dragonfly.

gold, ruby*2 (1.75*1,2.5*1), citrine pale yellow*2( tailor cut), clear quarz*2( tailor cut big squares), clear quarz*16 ( tailor cut to small squares to show the transparancy of the wings), pink sapphire *9 ( 1-2mm), citrine orange/yellow *10, diamond*6 (1mm) 

‘Glide’ Hairpin
gold, ruby*3 (10mm*1 in the front, 2-3mm *2 at the tail), pink sapphire*8( 1.75-3mm), citrine( yellow, orange)*24 (1.75-2mm), diamond *24 (1-2mm)
